Runestone surpass all that has been with an album that many will argue is their best ever....again! Melodic, a little more modern, but wonderfully atmospheric and mysterious.

This is the most awe inspiring, hypnotic album I have ever heard. It touches your soul with enchanting melodies and subtle drum beats that rythmically meet with your heart. I would not be without this album and highly recommend it to anyone. Runestone have produced such beautiful music with this album that to describe their work as "music" seems lacking. Definatley beyond mundane language - they take you on a journey to another place, deep within emerging underneath an etheral sky, riding the air like the raven bathed in the moonlight.

Sometimes you are drawn to an album by its cover and then are sadly disappointed, this is NOT one of those albums. The Raven and Moon delivers all that its cover promises and more. Dim the lights sit back and surrender yourself to an ethereal journey into a magical world. This deeply atmospheric album from Runestone is mysteriously moving. Its enchanting music will carry you away. It is definitely an album you must have in your collection if you are a new age listener, healer or music lover. Runestone have once again surpassed themselves, this is a truly fantastic album. Thank you Runestone!

Having already been entranced by the other works of Runestone, specifically Sacred Circle and The Lost Henge, I was eagearly awaiting their latest instalment, The Raven and the Moon. When I finally heard it, I was not disappointed. From the first track, I was transported into another world of haunting melodies and relaxing rhythms. As I listened more, I began to visualise the vivid landscapes the music painted and which was no doubt inspired by. A truly masterful album that captures the spirit of Runestone.

The Raven and Moon. As the liner notes suggest this is a work inspired around a paradox. I hear a majestic album that, to me, describes an opening spectrum of light and colour within the parallels of dark and light. It is a work that honours the separation of ambivalent modern life with blessed restitution.
Of Honey and Mead (track 3) is my favourite section of the work; its a beautiful arrangement of medieval harmonic figures with the Runestone's trademark battery of ethereal instrumentation! Very uplifting.
Many thanks, Runestone.

I loved this album! The music is multi layered, I hear influences from many sources, eastern and ethnic to name but two. There are some haunting pieces. Definitely one not to be missed. Having googled Runestone I have now found their website: www.runestonemusic.co.uk, worth taking a look!

Runestone enthusiasts and fans are not left wanting with this latest album from Chris Green and Robert Ferner. The cover depicts a quality scene full of medievil majesty and mystery and the music itself delivers in a way that only Runestone can. Yet this album is an evolution of their familiar style with more complex and involving backgrounds, spine tingling percussion and inspired harmonies. Once you sample the soundclips I defy anyone not to have this in their basket and be headding for the checkout. The entire album is pure honey and mead, it really is that good
