Music has played an important part in the life of Simon Lovelock and he showed an early interest in the guitar, starting classical guitar lessons at the age of 9. He studied the instrument for 10 years giving a number of public performances at school. He taught himself to play the keyboard studying works by Beethoven, Debussy, Chopin and Rachmaninov. It was not long before he bought his first synthesizer (a Korg Poly 800) and started to experiment and work on his own material. In the late 1980s he worked for a local production company gaining experience with recording and engineering a wide range of music and spoken material. The work ranged from voice overs and soundtracks for promotional videos to demos for bands, songwriters and solo performing artists. He also worked on developing his own instrumental material when the studio was not being used by others. During the 1990s he played keyboards and later bass guitar with a folk band and acted as producer for their first studio album before moving on. He was signed to MG Music in 2004 and since then he has continued to explore the power music has to motivate, calm, relax, heal and compliment alternative therapies, in an increasingly stressful world.
